Janeca has a proven track record of assisting migrant workers in the Middle East with resolving legal issues and disputes. She is equally dedicated to higher education, having secured multiple scholarships across Europe.

Janeca Miranda completed her secondary education at De La Salle Santiago Zobel School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Ateneo de Manila University, then she later completed her Juris Doctor degree.

She subsequently pursued postgraduate legal studies at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, earning a Master of Laws in Comparative Constitutional Law with Honours. During her studies, she was awarded both an Alumni Scholarship and a University Scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements. She was also awarded a research grant that enabled her to undertake academic research at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Continuing her legal education in New Zealand, Janeca later completed a second Master of Laws at Victoria University of Wellington, further strengthening her international and comparative legal background.

Janeca previously worked as an Associate Lawyer with a leading Qatar-based law firm recognised by The Legal 500 as a top-tier practice. Her work focused primarily on immigration and labour law, including matters involving employment, workforce mobility, and immigration compliance. She has also worked in various senior ministerial advisory and managerial positions in the New Zealand government, such as Fire and Emergency NZ, Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment, Ministry of Culture and Heritage, Reserve Bank of New Zealand, and WorkSafe NZ.

She is also preparing for her admission as Barrister and Solicitor to the New Zealand High Court.

She speaks fluent Tagalog and English (garnered a perfect score in IELTS).
