A letter from our founders

How we came to New Zealand, and why we help others do it

Highly qualified professionals. Clear, practical guidance. We make complex immigration matters easier to understand.

We are Janeca and Gian Miranda. We run Miranda Global together: Janeca as Managing Director and our Licensed Immigration Adviser, Gian as Head of Business Development.

Before New Zealand, we both completed Masters degrees in Law in Europe. When it came to deciding where to go next, we put three countries side by side: Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

We chose New Zealand in 2019. Part of the reason was practical: at the time, New Zealand charged international PhD students the same tuition as domestic students.

Then we made the move ourselves. We built Miranda Global out of doing it the hard way ourselves.

We built Miranda Global out of doing it the hard way ourselves.

Today we work with people who are already in New Zealand and need their next visa, and with students applying from overseas, including Filipino students living in the Gulf. Our team works from Upper Hutt, in the Wellington region, and from Malate, Manila.

Immigration advice is regulated in New Zealand. Janeca holds a provisional licence from the Immigration Advisers Authority, Licence No. 202604058, and the register of licensed advisers is public. We would rather you checked it than took our word for it.
