New Zealand visas from Dubai and the UAE

Applying for a New Zealand visa from Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE usually means one of three things: studying in New Zealand, working for a New Zealand employer, or planning a longer move. This page explains how each route works, as Immigration New Zealand describes it.

  1. Studying in New Zealand from the UAE

The student visa follows an offer of place from an approved New Zealand education provider. INZ advises applying at least 3 months before you plan to travel, and says processing is busiest between October and March.

  2. New Zealand work visas from Dubai

INZ's main work visa, the Accredited Employer Work Visa, requires a full-time job offer from an accredited New Zealand employer, who sends you a link to apply. INZ says New Zealand employers and agents cannot charge you fees for a job or make you pay their recruitment costs.

  3. Migrating to New Zealand

A longer move usually runs through residence. INZ's resident visas include skilled routes, such as the Skilled Migrant Category and the Green List, and partnership-based routes.

  4. Applying from the Gulf

The visas described on this site are applied for online, through INZ's website. What each application needs depends on the visa and your circumstances.
