Gian Miranda

Gian is profoundly passionate about pursuing higher learning and empowering migrant Filipino workers. Being the son of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), he shares a personal understanding of the challenges and aspirations faced by Filipinos abroad, fuelling his commitment to help them realise their dreams.

Gian completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at De La Salle University Manila (cum laude) and his Juris Doctor degree at the Ateneo Law School. He was awarded a full scholarship to pursue his Master of Laws in Comparative Constitutional Law at Central European University (Hungary), and received further funding to complete a Master of Business in Global Management and Marketing at Lincoln University (NZ), a Master of Public Policy at the University of Auckland (NZ), and a Graduate Certificate in Law at Victoria University of Wellington (NZ).

He has worked in various senior advisory positions for the New Zealand government, including the Commerce Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Environmental Protection Authority and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.

He speaks fluent Tagalog and English (with an 8 in IELTS) and has conversational proficiency in Spanish.
